Employment & Inclusion Awards:

This year in 2009 we have eight Employment and Inclusion Awards to recognise the evolution of thinking in the way organisations are approaching their diversity and inclusion strategies.

Awards will be made for specific diversity initiatives related to employment and inclusion. These categories are open to small to medium organisations (less than 1000 employees) and large organisations (more than 1000 employees). The Employment and Inclusion Award categories for 2009 are:

  • Employment & Inclusion of People with a Disability
  • Employment & Inclusion of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse
  • Employment & Inclusion of Mature Age Workers
  • Employment & Inclusion of Indigenous Australians
  • Employment & Inclusion of Women in Leadership
  • Employment & Inclusion of Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, Transgender, Intersex
  • Today’s Youth - the Future of Tomorrow
  • Work / Life Balance

Major Awards:

In addition to our Employment and Inclusion Awards, we also have three major Diversity & Inclusion Awards. These Awards are open to small to medium organisations (less than 1000 employees), large organisations (more than 1000 employees) and individual nominations.

Diversity & Inclusion Champion (Individual)
An Award will be made to an individual who has initiated and championed diversity within their organisation and broader community.

Diversity & Inclusion Champion (Organisation)
Awards will be made for organisations that are approaching diversity and inclusion as a broader concept, with strategies that extend across numerous sectors throughout the organisation and the broader community.
